It was worth its 4 stars. Breakfast fee was €17 per person.

a rooftop terrace is why we chose it. location not far from the attractions and away from the busy streets. for dinner, we went to cerveceria catalana, it was very close to the venue. will be back!

I have stayed in other boutique style hotels in Barcelona but this one is the best all round. The location is excellent with a many restaurants and tapas bars close by.The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The roof terrace is a great place to relax and have a drink.
The breakfast, while excellent, was expensive if you had children with you. There is the option of a cheaper continental breakfast, but it is very limited.

Hotel location is very convenient - not far from the subway, with plenty pastry shops, tapas bars and fancy shops nearby; short walk from bars and clubs. It is also somewhat removed from main tourist areas, so the street are pleasant to walk on. Also, the hotel lounge bar at the top of the building, next to the swimming pool, is very pleasant.
The room and the bathroom, while clean, are somewhat dated. There is also subway construction going on just outside the door, scheduled to be completed in 2012. It caused absolutely no noise, but does spoil the view and the scenery.

I felt the reception people needed to be more specific with their directions-maybe a small map of about a 8 block radius of the motel that they could hilight. I have a question about the billing. I was charged 106.95 a night for 3 nights and the last night (4th) I was charged 182.29. Would you please explain this. I didn't notice the charge when I checked out because I was late for the taxi. I didn't notice any extra charges mentioned on your web cite. Thank you- Barbara Todd

Lovely rooms & roof terrace. Room spotless. Staff very nice.
There were road works outside hotel which were very noisy through the day. The location was good appart from that.
-
Modern, upscale building in a good area for shopping. The staff were very friendly and spoke English.
We had stayed at Avenida Palace when we came into Barcelona and I wish we had been able to go back there instead of at this hotel. We had an interior room on the second floor and it had a horrible view. The breakfast was overpriced--there are a couple of good pastry shops nearby that I wish we had eaten at. It was a modern place, better for younger people or shoppers. Everything was an extra charge...coffee maker, WiFi, etc. They also tacked on a Room Service charge I guess for coming in to make the bed.

It was a big pleasure to stay at the hotel. The staff is a very friendly and nice, the pool is absolutely gorgeous! I do like location also, 'cause it is in a nice and quiet place but at the same time it is really close to the main sights and shopping places.

Breakfast at 16 euro pp was poor value

This was my second stay and I brought friends again. The hotel is boutique, small intimate and offers an excellent location for walking to sites, shopping and cafes. Cute little shops nearby, lovely rooftop pool and bar, excellent value, cafe tables outside so choices of where to have a snack, tapas, or take a break in the open air. Staff is very helpful, courteuos, friendly...rooms are simple and comfortable and a good size. I would stay here on any visit to Barcelona...why reinvent the wheel when this hotel works so well for my needs and those of my friends.
Nothing and I have recommended to friends who agree it is perfect

Ideal location for seeing the sights that Barcelona has to offer. Excellent access to Metro and buses. Good restaurants and shopping close by, especially the Taverna Mediterranean next to the hotel.
Unfortunately there were major construction works directly outside the hotel entrance so be prepared for early morning wake up calls!! The hotel bar prices were expensive as was breakfast.

The staff were so amazingly friendly and they went out of their way to make our holiday special.
-
Lovely hotel, room very clean with comfortable bed and great shower. Good location about 10 mins walk from diagonal metro station. Very friendly staff. Would recommend.
Currently some roadworks taking place outside the hotel but of no bother if you are not going to be in the room much and quiet at the weekend due to no passing traffic.
